I write this post to wish all women, especially those in the world are still struggling to gain their dignity.
I never normally do not celebrate this day, in the sense that I go out for pizza with friends, or things like that, but remember this day remembering the true reason for this day March 8.
The origin of Day 8 March dates back to 1908 when a group of workers of a textile strike in New York as a form of protest against the terrible conditions in which they were at work.
The strike continued for several days but March 8 that it was the property of the company blocked the exits of the factory, preventing the workers to leave the same. A mortally wounded
fire 129 workers, including the Italian women who are simply looking to improve their quality of work.
Among them were many immigrants, including Italian women who, like others, sought to improve their living conditions. On March 8, eventually took on global importance, becoming a symbol of oppression that women have had to endure throughout the centuries and the starting point for the ransom of his dignity.
