Volkswagen Type 2

Thanks to the incredible work done by the guys at Vintage Bus (MinirĂ² true for fans of the genre), we can enjoy this wonderful collection of graphics applied to the legendary Type II van of Volkswagen. The Type II , produced in the early fifties as a successor to the well-known Type 1 (the beetle), was immediately a huge commercial success and fame, so that the same manufacturer to provide to its sellers a real Book Dealer which showed how strong was the proud product penetration in the commercial market. There are various models of the famous van (all strictly original) met with curious names, split-window bus, split, split, microbus, micro, transporter, bullies, samba and transporters , but all always lead back to the same model of Type II .
As you can see from the gallery below Book Dealer shows us the power and beauty of the commercial graphics industry, in a blaze of graphic characters and logos, a sure source of inspiration for all lovers of graphic ' oldstyle .
Enjoy!
